Yarmouth opens its three-day Eastern Festival with seven races, including the day's only Class 2 contest across Britain and Ireland. The official Eastern Festival guide confirms the three-day programme, while the official Gents Day page, Racing Post Yarmouth card and Racing TV Yarmouth racecards provide current fixture and card cross-checks. The card also contains two Class 3 races and several competitive handicaps. Yarmouth was preferred to Uttoxeter and Punchestown because its festival setting and deeper upper-level programme provide the best blend of sporting interest and betting depth. The official description was good to soft, soft in places, although the live Oddschecker Yarmouth grid showed soft on the opening race and the surface should be checked again before betting. The active card contained seven races and 56 runners at 15 September 2026 at 08:08 Europe/London after nine withdrawals. Yarmouth 14:17 | Wetsand | 0.75pt e/w at 12/1, Bet365, 3 places

NEXT BEST: Toastmaster at 11/4

Toastmaster is the likeliest winner after a strong-finishing York third, but 11/4 leaves little room for the 52-day break and softer ground. Wetsand is more attractive at 12/1. She made all to win at Lingfield in July and was then third over seven and a half furlongs, showing both current ability and the tactical speed to hold a position. Her previous Yarmouth run was only fifth and all three wins came on good to firm, so the softer surface is a genuine uncertainty. Three places at a double-figure price compensate for that risk.

VERDICT: Wetsand, 0.75pt e/w at 12/1, Bet365, 3 places. Do not take shorter than 11/1. Toastmaster is the next best at 11/4.

NEXT BEST: Watch Party at 6/5

Watch Party sets the form standard after finishing third in a Newmarket Class 2 novice, but 6/5 is demanding against several well-related newcomers. Chasing Daylight is the value alternative at 8/1. The Space Blues filly is out of a Sea The Stars mare and David Simcock has two winners from ten runners in the last fortnight. Debutants can be green and there is no racecourse evidence to confirm how she handles soft patches, but stall six is workable and three places give the price a useful safety net.

VERDICT: Chasing Daylight, 1pt e/w at 8/1, Bet365, 3 places. Do not take shorter than 7/1. Watch Party is the next best at 6/5.

Yarmouth 15:17 | Flick Of An Eye | 3pt win at 11/8, Bet365

NEXT BEST: Bad Dreams at 11/8

Bad Dreams is respected for a stable operating at 20 per cent in the last fortnight, but he must deliver first time. Flick Of An Eye already has a Newmarket third to build on and shaped as though six furlongs would remain suitable. She receives 5 lb from Bad Dreams and Silvestre De Sousa retains the ride. I Am Royal brings two close places and is a serious danger, yet Flick Of An Eye's existing Class 2 experience makes 11/8 acceptable in a race with only two standard places.

VERDICT: Flick Of An Eye, 3pt win at 11/8, Bet365. Do not take shorter than 5/4. Bad Dreams is the next best at 11/8.

Yarmouth 15:47 | Rocket Boots | 0.75pt e/w at 14/1, Unibet, 3 places

NEXT BEST: Javelot at 11/8

Javelot deserves favouritism after winning at Wolverhampton and had earlier finished fourth in a Yarmouth Class 2 novice, but 11/8 fully reflects that progress. Rocket Boots is preferred each way at 14/1. He was second in a Doncaster novice and fourth twice before finding a Goodwood Class 2 nursery too demanding. This return to Class 5 company is a major relief, and the Racing API performance figure of 81 leads the active field. He still has to prove the seven furlongs, but three places make the price worth taking.

VERDICT: Rocket Boots, 0.75pt e/w at 14/1, Unibet, 3 places. Do not take shorter than 11/1. Javelot is the next best at 11/8.

Yarmouth 16:17 | Due To Henry | 2pt win at 7/2, William Hill

NEXT BEST: Hamlet's Night at 9/4

Hamlet's Night won before finishing third on his latest start and is the obvious danger, although a 129-day absence is hard to ignore at 9/4. Due To Henry has been placed twice this season and his fifth at Epsom came only 16 days ago. He is proven over the trip and on good-to-soft ground, while Tom Marquand can keep him close enough from stall eight. The wide draw and a sequence without a win limit confidence, but 7/2 is fair in a seven-runner race where several rivals have bigger recent-form questions.

VERDICT: Due To Henry, 2pt win at 7/2, William Hill. Do not take shorter than 3/1. Hamlet's Night is the next best at 9/4.

Yarmouth 16:47 | Zighy | 2pt win at 5/1, Bet365

NEXT BEST: Gold Digger at 7/2

Gold Digger has won at Yarmouth and drops from Pattern and major handicap company, but her last three runs were unplaced. Zighy offers a steadier profile at 5/1. She has made the first four on each of her last six starts, including a Newmarket third and a close Kempton fourth, and George Boughey has six winners from 29 runners in the last fortnight. A previous Yarmouth fourth confirms she handles the straight track. She is 11 lb above her Southwell win mark and must improve again, but her consistency is valuable in this competitive field.

VERDICT: Zighy, 2pt win at 5/1, Bet365. Do not take shorter than 4/1. Gold Digger is the next best at 7/2.

Yarmouth 17:18 | Creative Queen | 3pt win at 9/4, Bet365

NEXT BEST: Diomed Duke at 7/2

Diomed Duke has won two of his last three and merits respect at 7/2 despite top weight. Creative Queen is the stronger bet at 9/4. She won over six furlongs on soft ground here in May, was narrowly beaten over five furlongs at Yarmouth last month and had traffic problems before staying on at Haydock on heavy ground. William Haggas has 18 winners from 61 runners in the last fortnight, and James Doyle takes over. She has only six rivals to beat and the course evidence makes her the day's most dependable proposition.

VERDICT: Creative Queen, 3pt win at 9/4, Bet365. Do not take shorter than 2/1. Diomed Duke is the next best at 7/2.

Best bets of the day

Creative Queen is the NAP because her Yarmouth win on soft ground, narrow course second and strong stable form give her the most complete case. Flick Of An Eye is next best because she brings useful Class 2 experience into a novice dominated by newcomers. Rocket Boots and Wetsand are the most interesting bigger-price each-way positions, while Zighy supplies the strongest consistency angle in the feature handicap.
