The direct answer
If one Bet Builder leg is void, the whole bet may be recalculated on the remaining selections or voided in full. There is no single UK-wide rule. The result depends on the bookmaker, sport, market, sales channel and reason that the leg became void.
This is different from an ordinary accumulator. A standard multiple combines separate event selections whose prices can usually be removed individually. A Bet Builder combines connected outcomes from one event, so removing one part can change the fair price of every remaining part.
Do not assume that a void selection is simply changed to decimal odds of 1.00. Find the operator's Bet Builder rule for the exact sport and product.

Rules can change. Save the rule that applied when the bet was accepted and check whether a promotion, concession or sport-specific page overrides the general wording.
Why bookmakers cannot always remove one leg cleanly
Bet Builder selections can be correlated. A home win, a home striker to score and over 2.5 goals are not three independent events. If the striker selection is removed, the remaining home-win and goals outcomes still have a relationship. The bookmaker may therefore need to price the surviving combination again rather than divide the original price by a stand-alone quote.
This explains why apparently similar builders can settle differently. One platform may have a repricing engine for that sport and market combination. Another may define the accepted builder as a single indivisible product and return the stake if any component is void.
The distinction is contractual, not a judgement about whether the other legs would have won. A whole-builder void can apply even after the surviving components have succeeded.
Player non-starters are the most common source of confusion
A player can be omitted from the starting team, remain an unused substitute, appear from the bench or be replaced after the bet is placed. Those are different facts. The market may require the player to start, to take any part or simply to be listed. The operator may also offer a named substitute concession.

A worked repricing example
A £10 four-part Bet Builder is accepted at decimal odds of 8.00. One player market is later void because the operator's rule requires the player to start.
If the operator voids the complete builder, the £10 stake is returned. There is no profit even if the other three parts win.
If the operator recalculates the builder and prices the three surviving connected selections at 4.50, a successful bet returns £45 including the £10 stake. It is not safe to calculate 8.00 divided by the missing player's ordinary price because the original builder allowed for correlation.
The revised price should appear in the settled transaction or be explained by the operator. Keep a screenshot of the original accepted builder rather than relying on the open-bet display after repricing.
What if the Bet Builder is one leg of a larger multiple?
Treat the complete Bet Builder as one selection inside the outer multiple. If the bookmaker reprices the builder, that revised builder price normally feeds into the multiple. If the complete builder is void, it commonly drops out of the outer multiple, subject to the rules and any minimum-leg promotion.
A four-fold containing one Bet Builder can therefore become a treble even when only one component inside the builder caused the problem. Accumulator bonuses, insurance and enhanced prices may be recalculated or lost if the number of qualifying legs falls below the offer terms.

- Record whether it was a single builder or one leg of a multiple.
- Identify the void component and the operator's stated reason.
- Check whether the selected player started, appeared later or took no part.
- Save the accepted odds, stake, potential return and timestamp.
- Open the sport-specific Bet Builder rule, not only the general multiple rule.
- Check for a concession, promotion or retail rule that changes treatment.
- Compare the settled price with the surviving selections.

First save the receipt and applicable rules. A concise query containing the bet identifier, void reason and expected treatment is easier to resolve than a general complaint.
